The Aftermath....
........Of a very Belated Birthday Tea Party for Grandma Grandma throws herself a Tea Party every year for her Birthday.... the GrandLittles choose the theme.... Last year if you remember was Halloween theme... chosen by the Littlest Little and this year was Hearts chosen by the Eldest Little... I painted the flowers on the hearts and the 'Happy Birthday' sign.I had trouble getting motivated with the theme this year... not sure why ... I do like hearts... I made the cake... a butterfly cake and i made cake pops for the first time... Watermelon cut into tall triangles and flowers made of cheese , cucumbers and carrots... they were a big hit... I wish i had taken more photos.. As much as it is alot of work ... it also is an outlet for my creativity... Next years theme my daughter chose... Ocean/treasure/pirates... We are all supposed to be putting our heads together to come up with decorations and food... :) Should be fun..! We had rain a while back and the TX Purple Sage is letting us know... just gorgeous! And before i leave i want you to know i have a magical Coffee Cup Cabinet... I'am the only hot drink person in the house and i have all these!! Thing is... I think i have no room for new cups... so if i buy one i have to let one go... but then i bring a new cup home and miraculously there's room for it!! Can you guess witch one is the new one??? :) Hugs! deb
What a wonderful birthday tea party! The decorations are awesome. The purple sage fits right in with your color theme. I think the new mug is Stay Positive with the tiny heart on it. Enjoy the weekend!

Dear Deb, wow, that's an absolutely perfect decoration for your grandmother's birthday tea party! And I think your hearts look magical! The cute cups in the first photo and your mugs are lovely too, by the way! Thinking about next year's theme made me think of something from a long time ago: In 2013, my daughter took her final exams as a pastry chef. She practiced cake after cake back then, including some with an "underwater world" theme – I photographed one of them with a treasure chest and map and showed it in this post: https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2013/03/tortige-zeiten.html
