My week started with some cleaning! I've had these shells a very long time.. 

Carried them all over the country with me ... 

They needed a serious cleaning!  They look so pretty now.. 

          I found a very pretty weed in the yard....

I searched and searched and cannot find out what it is called.... any ideas? 

The final look at my fish painting... It Is Finished! I'm officially calling it 'Eyes With Fish' ! 

      The spirals were one of the last additions..

 I'm sorry for the blurry photo but i'm trying to show you the 'Eye'... I put glitter on it.. can you see? And then used Glossy Accents to give the eye a wet look...and depth. I wish it showed up better in the photo..  Anyway... so 'Ta Daaaaa' its done.. I feel like there should be cheering and fireworks.. lol This picture has been a long time coming! Whew! I wonder whats next?! 

           There's been work in the sketch book... 

They started out as tadpoles but i daresay they are taking on the look of something else.. 

                   Remember my Art Journal?? 

              I've done a couple pages in there too..  

Work in there seems to come in fits and starts..

T stands for Napkin Reveal....

 

I have been hanging onto this pic for awhile!!! Here are the napkins i sent to Elizabeth. I hope someone makes something lovely out of them.. I cannot wait to see what i receive in the mail! I wish i had taken more photos of the one's i sent but i didn't.. sigh.. 

I had the opportunity recently to walk a little down town... Sad to say our downtown is rather rundown... lots of empty stores.. but you can find some unique architecture if you look.. I love these lights.. 

                And this bench was lovely.... 

I came across a mural that i remembered from when i lived here before.. It was painted by Crystal Kedziora Goodman in 2005.. and supposed to represent a 1908 view of our town.. 

She has painted several murals for downtown and she puts mice in all her murals.. knowing this its fun to try to find them.. 

Hubs shop is coming along... the mini split a/c is installed an working well.. thats after we had an a/c man come by to get it running.. uuughh.. that sucked... $300 later it was up and running.. oh well.. it had to be.. Hubby installed it up to a point but just couldn't get it going.. it happens.. 

My brother in law is trying to restock me with plants... I notice this aloe that is nice and green here has turned a shade of purple.... anyone know whats up? 

And last but not least ... my ticket to the party!

T Stands for Out of Pocket.....

 

I'm afraid i had a choice last Tuesday to party with all you lovely people OR drive my husband around in a golf cart for three hours in 100 degree F temperatures... ahhhh.. when your in love you make foolish decisions... lol ! But i missed all my Tparty friends.. Prepare yourself for a rather long , picture heavy and what i hope is word light post... Above is a favorite drink this Summer.. 

I was thrilled to hear we are sharing our ATC's this week!!  I made 4... One to my swap partner Sharon, one to Elizabeth and one to Kathy on the Lake.. Oh and one to keep!  I so wish more people had joined the swap! I don't normally do ATC's  , too small for me, but its fun to do for this one event every year. 

My swap partner sent  me a wonderful ATC in a beautiful card. I love the tea bag and spoon she glued onto it.. just perfect to celebrate T! Thank you Sharon! I LOVE it!

Progress happens on the Fish Painting... Besides the spirals it now has an official name.. 'Eyes with Fish' lol! 

I've been making maps this week.. My granddaughter has fallen in love with 'Dora the Explorer'. A cartoon for those that don't know.. So i've tried my hand at making her some maps.. Above is a map to Lake Tahoe, complete with gold in the Lake.. and a magnifying glass to help her find her way... 

I made her 3 gold glitter pieces to play with... 

           And a Ladybug piece and a compass

A map to go to the Beach! With little crab pieces to play with.. 

Not the best photo but you can see all the pieces have a coat of Glossy Accents on them so the glitter will stay put.. 

I also made my granddaughter a watermelon PostCard.. and i enjoyed it so much i made 2 more to send out! Super simple and the key word was FUN! 

Valerie !  I hope you made it all the way to the end... I wanted to show you where your little card to me ended up! Look close!
