T Stands for a Post for Kathy at the Lake....

...........but first lets check in on my babies... Arabian Night has given me 4 blooms on a stalk but not only that ... she has produced an unprecedented  5th bloom on the same stalk.. see the bud in the upper left hand corner.. ? I have never seen this before , if anyone else has i'd love to know..

Her amazingness doesn't stop there, because she is putting up another bud!!

Ferrari was trying to be sneaky by putting his leaves on first but looky what i found!!!  So the plants are doing well .. 'TinkerBell' is just growing her leaves long and tall and saying the heck with blooms this year i think..

Now for Kathy!!!! I went to an Estate Sale yesterday morning.. and someone there had this beautiful collection i just HAD to show our fellow partyer Kathy...over there at Hummingbird Studio at the Lake.. I sure hope she attends the party this week!

Look Kathy!!! InkWells!!!!  i just LOVED this one. I couldn't make myself spend the money but this is the one i would have wanted...

The pictures are not the best. The place was crowded!  But  i hope Kathy will enjoy seeing them and everybody else too..
There were many more than what i took pictures of  but i had to move along...

I thought this one was cute with the little bird too..
Estate Sales are sad but can be fascinating too.. to see what people collect and treasure.... It did occur to me that it was sad that no one in their family wanted that collection..

And last but not least i thought i'd show you how the coat rack is coming....

Hubby is getting all the cutouts done... Its very time consuming.. and now he is sanding .. and there is alot of grumbling...lol .. And finally there's my ticket to the Tparty...  Thats caffeine free Coke Zero.... which has become extremely difficult to find these days... I swear Walmart somehow gets a hold of my shopping list and decides to discontinue everything on it... grrrr... Happy T day everyone! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.. Kate i'd love to know if you received your bracelet.. I'll be around to visit! Hugs! deb

T stands for.... New Project!

Hello T ~ Ladies... Yes a new project has begun! But first LOOK at 'Arabian Night'!!! She is not only blooming but putting up another bud!!  The other two are just growing leaves and that may be all for this year..  After what they've been through its not surprising.. I'll just see if i can keep them happy and maybe they will reward me with a bud next year!

And now the project... If you can envision it... It will be a coat rack! .. We need one by the back door.. If it helps the little 'x' spaces will be cut out.. and the rest is supposed to look like trees..  Hubby is busy cutting out the spaces as we speak.. The hooks will be down there along the bottom and they look like dragonflies.. !! I hope you've had a truly wonderful week! I'll be around to visit!! Hugs! deb

T stands for FleaMarket........

I hope everyone is having a great start to their New Year!! I'm still burning a pine scented candle even though the tree is just a memory from last year , since we did not decorate this year.. I've been looking to see what i might enter in the stock show ,Creative Arts division this year.. They haven't posted their new catalog for this year but it pretty much stays the same..On another note : Here's a question for you... Do you like Flea Markets? Antique Markets? Estate Sales, Yard and Garage Sales?

I like all of the above to varying degrees... and my tastes have changed over the years.. These days i will rarely stop at a yard sale or garage sale . I have found they are usually mostly clothes which is least of what i'am looking for..  I will gladly pull over for an Estate Sale no matter how morbid that might be.. I enjoy walking through someone's home seeing how they lived and what they loved.. Usually its an elderly couple and you can see if they were into books , movies.. music.. art.. if they did any crafts.. Anyway.. I also like flea markets indoor or out door.. I seem to find indoor more and more..

Antique Markets i usually steer away from as they tend to be too expensive.. even Flea Markets can be expensive... But i LOVE to look... i almost always see something i have no idea what it is.. often hubby will know.. being older than me and all..ahem... lol Ofcourse the above photo is my ticket to the T party...

Or maybe you like this one for the Tparty?  The price tags look like tea bags don't they..lol

Loved this old typewriter... Not that i would want to use one.. but i remember someone who had one when i was a child.. I got to poke around on it.. Those buttons are not easy to push!

We have several Indoor Flea Markets in my little town.. You could easily loose and afternoon just browsing.. So much stuff its difficult to see everything.. probably why i can go back often and it nevers get old..

One thing i've noticed is that they do not have much turnover... the same items seem to sit there for months... perhaps years.. I have no idea how they make a profit as they must pay for their space.. Its almost like its a storage unit instead a place to sell.. To me if nothing is selling that tells me the price is too high.. or i need to pull some stuff that is not selling and put in new stuff.. or as a last resort take it home and enjoy it.. Why pay for the storage? Anyway.. just a thought..  Well thats about it from me this week ..I hope you enjoyed visiting the Flea Market! and  I hope you've all had a good week.. I'll be around to visit! Happy T day Hugs! deb

T stands for..... Happy 1st T Party of the Year!!

I'm going to start the New Year off right by  #1 not being late to the Party and #2 by offering up a new , hot off the press drink photo... Hubs and i love Korean Bulgogi... with Kimchi... and i'm not sure what that salad dressing is they use but as you can see i've gobbled it all up already! Yum.. and just to the left is our drinks and just like the glass says.. we both had Coke...in all its full sugar glory.. a real treat for us..

A Quick Update on the Amaryllis

They seem very happy with a little light, water and love... The one with the flower is Arabian Night.. I don't think the other two will give me a flower this year.. Maybe in the Spring.. Amaryllis that are not forced often bloom in Spring..

And now i finished a couple projects and i'm dying to show you.. Remember the above photo?? Well that was just the start.. The three Snowmen are ornaments made out of resin i think that i LOVE but are just too heavy for my tree.. So i had hubby cut me a circle of wood and then he helped me fasten them to the wood with heavy duty staples that you hammer in.. A little glue and they were sturdy..

Years ago ... when i worked at a Home Improvment Store for 15 years a shower door shattered and ofcourse i thought to  myself .. 'how cool!!!'.. Surely i could use that glass some day..lol  those of you who know me are chuckling.. :)..

Well many years later i finally did..lol I also added a little 3 inch mirror to the center.. I was amazed how much the glass looked just like ice..

Several years ago i bought some Christmas balls on an After Christmas sale. You know the kind.. they look like little disco balls covered in mirror tiles.. Well i spent a few evenings in front of the TV peeling off the tiles .. saying to myself i KNOW i will find a use for these one day..lol..  Well as you'll see i did...

But first let me introduce you to a product, if you don't know of it already.. This was the only product available at my local craftstore for adding that 'snow look' to my project... I was pretty nervous using it as i had never used it before and i liked the way my project was going and didn't want to 'ruin' it..  I procrastinated quite a bit..  But i eventually bit the bullet and did it...

See the mirror tiles?! And the snow? It really was a dream to work with... I just kind of dabbed it on...

And before it dried i added glitter... I put the snow on shovels and noses...

                    Glitter on snow flakes...

Found a little candle holder on.. you guessed it ... 50% off sale... lol.. I love how it turned out.. Yes it was tedious gluing on the shower glass and the tiles.. But i don't mind tedious as long as i think it was worth it in the end.. And i totally do..

And while i have you this was another project finished at the same time.. Again beautiful ornaments that were just too heavy for my tree.. Hubby cut the wood for me and put in little metal spikes to help hold the ornaments.. I stained the wood and glued them on.. Very simple but effective i think.. Now if you are STILL here.. lol I have the results of the GiveAway from last week..

Five visitors told me to put their name in the hat for the Bracelet GiveAway..

I folded them all up and hubby picked one from the pile and the winner is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                   Kate!!!!

Kate if you'll email me your address i'll get it in the mail soon... jinxxxygirl at yahoo dot com.

Thank you all for reading such a long post.. I would like to say i won't do it again but in truth i'm long winded.. ask some of my snail mail friends.. they'll tell you about the 'books' that are my letters.. lol Take care and have a beautiful first week of 2023!! I'll be around to visit.. Hugs! deb
