Cheers! Everybody!! You may or may not remember me..... but i used to party with Elizabeth and Bleubeard and all the wonderful T Ladies over at the Altered Book Lover. It's been awhile but i'm dipping my toes back in the Party scene . I'm so glad you came for a visit. I'll be sure to come around and see you. Do you see my frog?
I found him at a flea market in Fredericksburg , TX at their Trade Days. He's a little trivet... Just perfect for my coffee cup i thought.. I wish he had cleaned up a little better... The lady wanted $8... I offered $5 and she took it. Anyone know how to clean him up any better? I tried everything on that glass.. I don't want to make it worse..sooo....
I stuck little felt tabs on his feet to protect my table. Love him!! I've just recently started my blog up again but when you have time i hope you'll poke around. We've just recently moved back to TX, bought a house, got settled. I entered a bunch of art and crafts into the Rodeo StockShow Art/Craft competion and i posted pictures and the results if you'd like to check it out... Just go to the blog and scroll down a couple posts... Well i better let you go.. lots of visiting going on.. Take care! Have a great week! And Happy Happy Tday!! Hugs!deb
Hi Deb, I love your trivet and your mug too. You find the coolest items. Not sure what is the best way to clean the trivet. Would vinegar water soak hurt the metal? sometimes that will work good. So glad to see you back on T and there are some new friends posting now too. Happy T hugs
ReplyDeleteI really had to scroll back to see the frog (oh, my!!! My King frog sure frowns at me now from the balcony!)
ReplyDeleteIf I was you... I´d leave the frog like that - who knows, maybe memories are attached to the "dirt"?
Have a great new week and happy T-Day, deb!
I agree with Iris, leave the frog as is. Love your mug! Welcome back to T-day - sounds like you have been super busy!
ReplyDeleteYour coaster/trivet is very cute. It looks rusted. Maybe some sanding and a bit of paint? For the glass, maybe Windex and a soft toothbrush? Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are settling into Texas life rather nicely. I hope to see you at Elizabeth's weekly blog event. The frog is cute: good luck with the clean-up.
ReplyDeletebest... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I'm glad to see you back at T Deb. I do rememebr you. (and from Food Wednesdays too of course.) And I love your frog. I like his roughness; it gives him character. And I also love your mug too. And nice to be able to get some art into a show. Sounds like the move was a good one. Happy T day to you. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteLove that cool blog header Deb! So good to "see" you in blogland again. That frog trivet is so cute. Sorry I can't help as far as cleaning it though...
ReplyDeletehappy T Day!
You know how thrilled I was to see you posting again, and so glad you joined us for T this week, too. I am NOT SURE this will help, but the glass looks like it has clouded. I've read about a product people can buy for their car headlights that fog over. I don't remember the product, because mine never did (this was mostly American made vehicles that were affected). But I had a friend whose did and I researched to see how to fix the problem. I never used or even saw the product, but if you are interested, you can do an internet search for clouded headlights. I am sure the ingredients will be available, so you could decide before you buy the product if it is right for the trivet.
ReplyDeleteI really LOVE that mug. I love the texture and just want to run my hands over it. Thanks for sharing your frog trivet and beautiful blue mug with us for T this Tuesday, Deb. And welcome back, dear.
I like your frog trivet just the way it is :) and I love that mug. Moving is hard, so I'm glad to hear you've settled in well. Happy T Tuesday
ReplyDeleteLove you mug and the frog trivet. What is the glass surrounded by? That will determined what to clean it with. However, it looks perfect the way it is. Have a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun trivet, I totally get that you bought it. No idea about cleaning it further, I probably would leave it as it is, it doesn't look bad. Happy T day - nice to see you here.
ReplyDeleteHi Deb, welcome back to t-day! Your trivet is lovely and unique. Sorry, I don't have any tips for cleaning.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tea Day,
Kate
So lovely to see you back - Happy T Day! The mug is gorgeous and the frog trivet is perfect for your cuppa, it looks much loved and it was a great idea to add the felt to the bottom 😀. Take care and wishing you much happiness this T Day! Hugs Jo x
ReplyDeleteLove that frog! I'd be tempted to leave it as is. I like it that way.
ReplyDeleteDeb, I do love your little frog trivet. But also love that mug with that quote. Welcome to the party! Hope you come back. I am kind of late, last to the party and last to comment.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really pretty mug! I also like your trivet as I love frogs. So sorry, RL got in the way, and I am terribly late. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
