Hello All!!!

Teacups created from paper
Welcome to the T party!! Hosted by our most exquisite hosts Bluebeard and Elizabeth! To join all you need to do is show a drink on your blog post. Tea , coffee, wine, beer ... water! Anything at all.. Just something drink related .. be it an actual drink or something artistic or creative or imaginative.. Just link up and visit ladies from all over the World! You can click on the caption area of the picture above to see more paper teacups!

My week started with some cleaning! I've had these shells a very long time..
Carried them all over the country with me ...
They needed a serious cleaning!  They look so pretty now..

I found a very pretty weed in the yard....

I searched and searched and cannot find out what it is called.... any ideas?

The final look at my fish painting... It Is Finished! I'm officially calling it 'Eyes With Fish' !

The spirals were one of the last additions..

I'm sorry for the blurry photo but i'm trying to show you the 'Eye'... I put glitter on it.. can you see? And then used Glossy Accents to give the eye a wet look...and depth. I wish it showed up better in the photo..  Anyway... so 'Ta Daaaaa' its done.. I feel like there should be cheering and fireworks.. lol This picture has been a long time coming! Whew! I wonder whats next?!

There's been work in the sketch book...
They started out as tadpoles but i daresay they are taking on the look of something else..

                   Remember my Art Journal??

I've done a couple pages in there too..
Work in there seems to come in fits and starts..

I'll have to give you a little more of a look see in the sketchbook/artjournal one of these days.. if you like... Thanks for hanging in there... that was a loooong post!  I'll be around to visit!! Hugs! deb

  1. I have some ancient shells also that I finally cleaned a couple of weeks ago. It's fun to find bits and pieces in nature and then keep them for inspiration. I am loving your eye fish-and congrats for finishing it. Will you hang it up? You have to be pleased. I hope you have a lovely T day and week ahead Deb. hugs-Erika

  2. Oh, my goodness, Deb! I love your Eyes with Fish art! Wow! And a great title. I do see the glitter in the close up. I am glad you work in your art journals. I have some, and it is usually a long time between entries in them. I like the sketch with the spider. Well, we might have our napkins by next week or the next! LOL I am sure glad I sent you your ATC separately. Happy T Day.

  3. Hi Deb, Congrats on the finish! You must feel so good that this is a finish and can be hung and enjoyed
How did you clean your shells? just soap and water? I have a big box of shells that my Mom and Dad had collected on their winter trips to Florida-so these are quite old, I should do something with them, perhaps I will add them to the flower garden.
Loved seeing a peek into your art journals-and wow love the paper tea cups Happy new week-hugs

  4. The paper-cup is great! And beautiful sea shell indeed! Sadly no idea what the weed is - just that it´s pretty.
Beautiful fish-art, it came out wonderfully.
Love also the next one - and Charlotte in her web!
    Happy T-Day!

  5. I also have a collection of beautiful shells, and give them a wash from time to time, too. Your painting is fantastic, really well done, and the art journaling pages are wonderful, too. You got a lot done this week. Love that paper cup, too. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

  6. Those teacups are amazing. I showed them to a friend who used to be a librarian so anything made from old books/ book pages freaks her out. 😺
PlantNet will let you upload photos of plants to be identified. There's also and app for your phone. Hooray for finishing your Eyes with Fish painting. πŸŽ‡πŸŽ‰πŸŽΊπŸŽΆI like the spirals as they remind me of fish bubbles. Tadpoles? That's not what I'm seeing πŸ˜‰I enjoyed peeking into your journal. Happy T Day. PS I hope you're not getting flooded with rain

  7. First of all: Your 'Eyes With Fish' picture is just great, I love it! Second, I tried to identify the plant and failed like you. The closest match from the flowers was Wildpret's Viper Bugloss (Echium wildpretii) but the leaves don't match and I couldn't find anything useful about the leaves. I could imagine it's a different kind of viper's bugloss... (Maybe you've discovered a new species ;-)) I also find the teacup created from paper very beautiful and special.
    Have a good time!

  9. Levy's tea cups and saucers are amazing. If only I were that talented.

Great that you finished Eye with Fish and it is beautiful. I am sure it will find a place of honor in your home, too.

I haven't cleaned my shells in awhile, so you have motivated me to do so.

I'm also having trouble seeing those as tadpoles. I won't mention what they remind me of (grin).

LOVE your art journal. Those feathers are amazing and your pages are unbelievable. You have such a steady hand. LOVE the spider.

Thanks so much for sharing your painting, your art journal, your conch and other shells, and those tea cups with us for T this Tuesday, dear Deb.

  10. So many things to be in awe about this week! Isn't that paper teacup and saucer amazing, so delicate and elegant - love it 😊. Your ideas book and all the artwork is so beautiful, loving those fishes and the feathers - gorgeous! Sorry I don't have too much time to visit today but I wanted to stop by to wish you a Happy T Day! Hugs

  11. I had shells like these for years, they got decluttered when we downsized to our condo.

  12. You make me wonder whatever happened to all the shells and interesting beach stones that we used to bring back from vacations. My mother had two shells that were on display on the floor in front of the fireplace, though eventually they faded from a beautiful pink to a duller shade of white.

  13. Hi Deb! This is a very interesting T cup made from paper. Someone has quite a talent. I love seeing your shells. I have some of the same and they have been with me for decades. I was thinking the other day that maybe it's time to pass them off. But, they are so pretty I will keep them. LOL I am not sure what that weed is but it sure is pretty. The fish painting is amazing and your photos are very clear. I do like your ideas book too. A great way to keep it all together. Have a very nice day today.

  15. What a pretty paper cup! I have a basket of shells, but they'll have to remain dirty except for what the occasional dusting can accomplish. That little wildflower is pretty. I hope you can get it identified. I love your drawings. You've been busy! Happy T Tuesday

  16. Your Fish Eye painting is fabulous! I love the colors and the composition. I hope you have it displayed in a prominent area.
Such a great idea to have a sketchbook to collect sketches and ideas. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  17. Hi Deb, lovely shells, I have a few big ones that I have carried around with me too. I think your "weed" is a native wildflower called a Satin flower, very pretty, read more about growing them here https://gardenerspath.com/plants/flowers/satin-flower/
Nice work in your sketchbook too! Happy T Day Elle/EOTC xx
