T stands for Napkin Reveal....

I have been hanging onto this pic for awhile!!! Here are the napkins i sent to Elizabeth. I hope someone makes something lovely out of them.. I cannot wait to see what i receive in the mail! I wish i had taken more photos of the one's i sent but i didn't.. sigh..

I had the opportunity recently to walk a little down town... Sad to say our downtown is rather rundown... lots of empty stores.. but you can find some unique architecture if you look.. I love these lights..

                And this bench was lovely....

I came across a mural that i remembered from when i lived here before.. It was painted by Crystal Kedziora Goodman in 2005.. and supposed to represent a 1908 view of our town..

She has painted several murals for downtown and she puts mice in all her murals.. knowing this its fun to try to find them..

Hubs shop is coming along... the mini split a/c is installed an working well.. thats after we had an a/c man come by to get it running.. uuughh.. that sucked... $300 later it was up and running.. oh well.. it had to be.. Hubby installed it up to a point but just couldn't get it going.. it happens..

My brother in law is trying to restock me with plants... I notice this aloe that is nice and green here has turned a shade of purple.... anyone know whats up?

And last but not least ... my ticket to the party!

Take care all you party people! I'll be around to visit! Hugs! deb

  1. Thanks for sharing your napkins, Deb. I still feel guilty that I sent a mixed message about the ATCs. I should have known since mine was number 4. DUH. But back to the napkins. They are lovely, dear.

I love the globes on the lights and I adore that bench. I would take a rubbing of one of the panels if I was there.

That's a great mural. So nice to have to look for the little mouse in each of her paintings. You should share her murals on Monday Murals. Everyone would be interested, I'm sure.

I'm loving your husband's shop. I think I have shop envy (grin).

No idea about the aloe. Never had one go purple on me. But then, all mine have died.

I love A & W, but I need my caffeine and it has zero caffeine, as well as sugar in yours. Thanks for sharing your napkins, taking us downtown, sharing the mural, showing your husband's shop, and sharing your A & W with us for T this almost Tuesday, dear Deb.

  2. Looks like a lovely walk. That mural is super cool and I love that people can hunt for the little mice. Wish there were more murals around here - or maybe there are and I need to go find them. Our downtown has gone through rough times and good times. Right now it is a cool spot - hoping it stays that way. Actually, I am talking of the town next to us - our town is just a post office, a fire station, a metal community building, and a tractor place that is barely hanging on...lol so I claim my old town which is close. Your napkins are pretty! Wish I had been in the swap. I am adding diet A&W to my grocery list for today's trip after seeing yours. Happy T-day, Deb. Hugz

  3. Good morning, once it cools down more I would like to get out and walk a bit again-it's just a circle around my little area of the lake but it's pretty up on top. I love the bench too and the architecture behind. I enjoyed seeing the murals-and how fun to look for the mouse-too sweet. and a great signature for the artist.
Glad you got the a/c installed all his tools really need a bit of a/c too. Thinking he is having fun setting up his space again.
Raining here now, so thinking of you and hoping you get some too Hugs Kathy

    1. ps I was curious about your aloe plant as I have not heard of this before so had to do a search found this information Aloe leaves turning purple is an indication that it is trying to adapt to the stress situation. There are several factors that can be responsible for this color change, including too much sun exposure, temperature fluctuation, overwatering, phosphorus deficiency, and transplant shock.

  4. Love this post - all the lovely details in your town!
Sad here, too. You walk around and wonder what store was un there... now closed for good.
The mouse tops it all! So cute - have a happy T-Day!

  5. Oh I like those rainbow watercolour napkins! Our town is in a similar state, lots of empty shops, a bit sad ready. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx

  7. You have some lovely architecture in your town. We have a few murals like that as well. It is wonderful to look at when passing in the car.
I didn't see any purple on your aloe plant. It looks great to me. Mine has recently started turning yellow. If only I had a plant meter that told me exactly what to do.
Your hubby's shop is looking great and very organized.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  8. So many downtowns have seen redevelopment, so maybe yours will see better days in the future. The bench is lovely, and I love the mural. Happy T Tuesday!

  9. Beautiful napkins! It seems many downtowns are losing their character by having shops and restaurants close. Same here. I've never liked our downtown anyway, so I'm never there - the last time is several years ago. We have a very European looking shopping center with beautiful shops, many locally owned, where I usually shop (I'm not a big shopper anyway). Everything is outside, it's not like a mall where everything is under one roof.

  10. I love root beer! If we go out to eat at fast food type place, and they have root beer at the fountain, that is what I get. Great mural. Deb, I can't wait to get the napkins, too. Happy T Day.

  11. Pretty napkins. The bench is very beautiful and looking for the mice in the murals so cute. Glad you got the mini to work. Putting them in was one of the best home improvement things we did. Stay cool!

  12. Oh the napkins are lovely. Hubs shop is looking real good. I just bought some Zero root beer. Ohhh it is so good. I haven't had it in years. The best things I know about aloe plants it to water them from the bottom, good indirect sun and if that doesn't work you may have to repot it in different soil. Have a nice evening.

  13. Oh, beautiful napkins. I love the butterflies. Your hubby's shop is looking really good. I bet he can't wait to get going. Yes, that sort of money hurts, but next summer he'll reap the benefits.
My husband has many aloe veras. W·hen they turn purple, they are not happy, but its not always clear what the matter is. Could be too much sun (they like light but not sun) or too much water.
    Happy T-Day,
    Hugs,
    Lisca

  14. The napkins look great - I hope mine arrive at Elizabeth's soon! Hubby's shop is looking good. Sorry about the added expense! A lot of places have closed around here too! I love the idea of looking for a little mouse on the murals! Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
