T stands for... Just a Quick Visit...

Hi All!!! Happy Halloween!!! I'm sitting here typing this hoping we have some trick or treaters this year... not likely... But i have candy.. and if they don't come i'm going to have to eat it.. So let me sit here and type this and maybe my doorbell will ring..lol

Lookee lookee... one more roll of yarn for my granddaughters blanket... You can see my edges are wonky... but then i got myself straightened out.. She's only 2 so i think she will love it..  lol One day she gets older i hope to make her a nicer one.. Maybe i'll have crochet figured out by then.. lol If your wondering this is a 'single ' crochet stitch..

The Monarchs and other bees and butterflies were very happy to have my SunFlowers in the yard.... But now they have finished blooming and i have pulled them up.. Thank goodness they had fairly shallow roots and pulled up easily..  I had so much fun taking care of them this Summer.. Collecting the seeds and pruning spent flowers.. It was nice to have something to take care of..

And i must not forget Elizabeth's wonderfully spooky Halloween card that came in the mail the other day! Thank you so much Elizabeth! If your a new visitor do pop over to Elizabeth's blog and consider joining the T party.. where the only requirement  is to show what you are drinking.. Happy T day! Hugs! deb

  1. I hope you get trick or treaters too Deb. I never get any, so if anyone came I would be in trouble as I have no candy. I think your blanket looks perfect for your granddaughter. How could she not love it? It looks like you have some fun holiday decorations too. Have a great T day, and week ahead too. Hugs-Erika

  3. Hello there, looks like you are all set for Halloween. I really like the color of the yarn you chose for the blanket. I'm currently "not knitting" a scarf due to a problem with my shoulder. I miss my knitting time.

  4. Cute blanket. She will love it. If you want some real cute patterns, some of them free, check out my friend's site - irarott.com. She was a member of our quilt guild until she moved out west but besides quilting, she designs crochet patterns. In fact, I think that is her passion.
We only had 17 kids tonight. The least ever.

  5. I am loving your halloween decorations-I totally forgot to get out my ceramic sacks with halloween faces-oh well. I hope you get some trick or treaters too. we always lived so rural we never got them A couple years though when we still lived in Illinois I baked up large halloween cookies from pottery molds-and asked the parents to bring their children by on there way to the town party-those were fun to make.
I love the blanket you are making for your granddaughter-she will love it hugs Kathy

  6. I an in love with your tablescape. It can go all the way to Thanksgiving, too, I suspect. And of course, I always enjoy seeing that Insomnia mug.

I like the colors of that blanket. I am sure your granddaughter will, too.

I had my final batch at 10 pm. They started at 6. As soon as I leave this comment, I'm going to fix something to eat. No candy from me. I gave out goldfish crackers. Made a party pack for my neighbor, too.

SO glad you got the card. I was starting to worry. Thanks for sharing your tablescape of pumpkins, your baby blanket you are making, and your coffee with us for T this week, dear Deb.

  9. Hi Deb. What a nice display on your table. I love the glass pumpkins. All the kids in our neighborhood and have grown and gone. We don't get any kids either. Our town holds events in old town and at the event center. I think that is better. Yes I got a few small bags of candy so now we have treats too. LOL Ohhhh your blanket looks amazing. You are doing a wonderful job. Have a really nice day today.

  10. I hope you did get at least a few trick-or-treaters, it's always so much fun to have the kids come to our door, all dressed up and full of expectations. We didn't get that many since the historic district is so close and they do a BIG Halloween there. But all our neighborhood kids came and that's good enough for me. Happy T day!

  11. We bought candy all month and have been eating it. We don't get trick or treaters even though we live on a main road. There are no sidewalks and not much lighting. Himself went shopping on Halloween and I had him pick up some special dessert from the bakery. Halloween Brownies because Halloween was Ink's birthday. Happy T Day

  12. We have not had trick or treaters in all the years I have lived here so I have no excuse to buy candy. :( The Insomnia mug would be appropriate at my place quite regularly lately. Hope you got some kids. :)

  13. I love your pumpkins and your blanket. I love crochet more than knitting, definitely a winter craft for me though, keeps you warm while you work on it. Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
