Remember 'Amigo'? Well she bloomed....
Something is not quite right here.... Either the picture on the box is wrong or the wrong bulb got in the box!! LOL .. After looking on the internet i do not think this is 'Amigo'... infact it looks like 'AppleBlossom'. I'm a little disappointed.... But she's still beautiful...
My project for the past few days has been Mr. Bear... Hubby and Daughter found him for me oh.. 20+ years ago and he is certainly a little worse for wear.. So he gets a facelift for the New Year...
He needed a little wood putty around the base and you can see i'm restaining him and repainting his black parts black.. I'll seal him with a clear coat and he can take up his post again at the back door.. Don't miss my ticket to the party... my bottle of water..
I'll leave you with the latest addition to my Snowman Collection...Found him at a Flea Market.. i thought he was just so stinkin' cute.. :) Happy Tday! AND Happy New Year!! Hugs! deb
The amaryllis is very pretty. Mr. Bear is going to look so good when his facelift is complete, and the snowman is very, stinkin' cute. Here's to a Happy, Healthy, and Creative New Year!
ReplyDeleteOh, and Happy T Day!
ReplyDeleteTis a paler version than the picture they gave you, but it is still so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful goal for 2024. I wish everybody looked for the light.
Your bear is looking great with his re-do or facelift.
Have a lovely new year's eve, my friend. :)
I have never been someone that picks a word for the new year etc, or get on those january diets either. being in my mid 70's now, I am thinking I need to work on getting craft projects finished etc instead of starting new ones-first up is finishing a quilt so we can use it..
ReplyDeleteI love the rehab on your bear and your new snowman. I picked up a new amaryllis this year and is very slow to grow. My other one is now three years old so it is not blooming this year, but growing new bulbs-I will need to split it next late summer when I bring it back into the house again.
Happy New Year hugs Kathy
I love the idea of 2024 being your year of light. I hate resolutions, they never last and they seem to be about things we are setting ourselves up to fail. I usually draw a page and put in things I'd like to happen in the year. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. I am loving your bear. He is much loved getting that bit of rehab. And I hope you not only have a lovely T day, but that you also have a wonderful new year filled with lots of light too. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI've never thought about finding the light. Not even sure I would know where to look for it. I do, however, normally pick a word of the year. I just haven't made the art for it.
ReplyDeleteYour little bear will look so good once he gets his makeover, He's a cutie anyway.
Somehow it alluded me that you collected snowmen. I use snow people to decorate in January before I bring out my Valentine decorations. If we lived closer, I would gladly give you my collection. Sadly, the cost of sending them to you would be prohibiting.
Thanks for sharing your light, your amaryllis, the bear makeover, your new and delightful snowman, and your water with us for T this week, dear Deb. And thank you again for the lovely card.
Finding the light is a beautiful approach, I like that very much. I don't have a word for the year either and neither do I have resolutions. This time I chose a project that I might keep or might not, time will tell. Happy T day!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know the difference in the flowers but this is really pretty. Fun project getting the bear a face life. Nice snowman too. Yes, finding the light is the way to go. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteYour Amigo was meant to be yours. I also always get the ones with "failures" - they need a home, too!
ReplyDeleteMr. Bear is very cute. As is the snowman. Last time I was at the Fleamarket Ii was 17! That is AGES ago, LOL.
Happy T-Day! And a Happy New Year, hugs
What a lovely way to be approaching the year, finding the light in things is a beautiful goal 😊. Of course you also bring the light to things with your restorations, Mr. Bear is so adorable and looks brand new with all the love and care you've given him ❤️. 😊. Happy T Tuesday and wishing you all the best for 2024, may it be filled with peace, joy and light! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteMy daughter gave me a salt lamp like that :) Light is always welcome :) That snowman is adorable. I'm especially fond of ones that don't look Christmasy and feel suitable for all winter long. Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteFinding the light in everything is a very good attitude. I don't have a word or make resolutions, but my mindset is similar in that I try to be a light to other people.
ReplyDeleteYour little snowman is super cute and your bear project is lovely. He looks good already.
A pink amaryllis instead of a red one. Yes, a bit disappointing but the pink one is beautiful too. And sometimes it happens. Growers can never guarantee the colour.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
The Amaryllis is still beautiful! I love the bear you are giving a facelift to and the snowman is adorable! What a great idea to find the light in everything! Happy T Day, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI had a red flower that turned out pink once....actually it wasn't even the same flower on the box either! Love the bear and love snowmen too. I'm not really thinking about the next year too much, just hoping to get through it as best I can. Every day is a challenge. Happy T day! Happy 2024 ((Lyn))
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Deb. Hope 2024 brings you peace, love, happiness and good health.
ReplyDeletethe wooden bear is very cute, I'm glad you gave up an update. Your flowers are also beautiful even if they turned out to be a surprise colour lol. I chose a word for the year, let's make it happen. Sorry for my lateness, it was a crazy week Happy New Year and Happy T Day! Elle xx
